Welcome to Safe Harbor

At the Island Nursing Home and Care Center (INH), Safe Harbor, we serve 38 residents who require either long-term nursing care or short-term rehabilitation. The care that we provide is customized to each individual’s needs and compassionate. Each resident's dignity is important to us! Residents are encouraged to participate in care and treatment decisions. We place a high priority on continuous development of the skills of our staff. We have introduced a number of innovative programs, like the Personal Enrichment Care Unit, the Virtual Dementia tour, Music and Memory, Restorative Nursing, a monthly wheelchair clinic and even outpatient PT, OT, SLP therapies which help our staff and residents to relate to each other in the most effective ways possible.
